The SAJC is the Metropolitan Club for Adelaide. It oversees three racecourses - Morphettville, Victoria Park and Cheltenham Park. The Club's principal races fall during the Autumn Carnival. The Smoke Free Adelaide Cup, the Vinery Oaks, the Malaysia Airlines SA Derby, the Nature Vet Goodwood Handicap and the Schweppes Australasian Oaks, are all Group 1 events. The richest race on the calendar however, is the $400,000 Magic Millions Adelaide, contested in February.
