Magic Millions Expands Support To Darwin

Magic Millions is delighted to announce the striking of a partnership with the Darwin Turf Club.

Next week the Gold Coast based sales company will act as selling agent for the annual Darwin Tried Horse Sale at Fannie Bay.

The sale, comprising 16 lots sourced from the Southern States, will be held on Thursday (August 1), in the biggest week for the Northern Territory thoroughbred industry.

Magic Millions stalwart David Chester will act as auctioneer at the sale.

As part of the new partnership, Magic Millions will also be offering a rich $10,000 voucher as well as trips to the Gold Coast for selected winners.

The $10,000 sales voucher to be spent at any Magic Millions Sale will be awarded to the connections of the highest placed eligible runner on a selected race on next year’s Darwin Cup card.

To be eligible the runner must have been purchased from either the Magic Millions Darwin Tried Horse Sale next week or any Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Magic Millions will also be sponsoring a race at the race meeting next Wednesday, a day before the sale.

“We’re thrilled to be joining with the Darwin Turf Club to support the Northern Territory racing industry,” Magic Millions Sales Director David Chester said.

“The Darwin Cup Carnival is one of the most popular in Australia and for Magic Millions to act as selling agent for the Tried Horse Sale and also support with other sponsorship, prizes and bonuses is a great initiative between both parties.”

“I’m looking forward to a few days in Darwin with our media manager Greg Irvine to soak up the beautiful sunshine, enjoy some wonderful racing and importantly sell some quality racing prospects next Thursday,” Chester added.

Darwin Turf Club CEO Philip Neck said his club was delighted to have the support of Magic Millions.

“We are delighted to have formed a relationship with Magic Millions and we hope this will continue to grow into the future,” Neck commented.

“We have a big couple of weeks to come in Darwin with some great racedays and associated events and the Tried Horse Sale next Thursday is one of those.”

“On Saturday we have the Sky Racing Metric Mile Race Day before a meeting on Wednesday and then the following weekend’s Palmerston Sprint card on Saturday and Carlton Mid Darwin Cup meeting on Monday (August 5).”
