Real Glow Tops Perth Sale

Talented mare Real Glow and members of the first crop of a group winning son of Storm Cat provided the highlights at today’s Magic Millions Perth Autumn Thoroughbred Sale at Belmont.

A two time winner and unlucky last Wednesday at Ascot, Real Glow topped the day’s selling when she was knocked down for $31,000.

Offered by Peters Investments, Real Glow will be changing stables and colours after being purchased by leading young horseman Daniel Pearce.

Twice a winner at Pinjarra the daughter of Testa Rossa ran fourth at her most recent start when she came from near the back of the field at the home turn.

The first weanlings by Storm Cat’s French based group winning son Planet Five were well received by bidders and his two offerings sold for the day’s second and third highest prices.

His brown filly from the stakes winning Is it True mare Genuine Girl was purchased by Quanah Park for $25,000.

Meanwhile local buyer Chris Streat went to $20,000 to secure the Planet Five colt from the once raced Galileo mare Casual Glance.

Both the Planet Five weanlings were presented by Touchstone Farm, the North Dandalup based property which stands the top sprinter again this spring.

All up today over $324,000 was traded on 116 lots sold at an average price of over $2,800 and a healthy clearance rate of over 81 per cent.
