The "jewel in the crown" of Magic Millions' operations, the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Yearling Sale and Racing Carnival is 10 days of non-stop, heart-thumping action. 900 perfectly prepared yearlings are put up for auction on the Gold Coast come January each year, youngsters especially selected for the first round of the Australian sales because of their superior bloodlines, forward development and precocious appearance.

The quality of the Magic Millions catalogue is the equal of international standards.

It is a catalogue which results from the shuttle revolution, one which has seen much of the cream of the stallion yards of Europe, Japan and the USA visiting Australia in the southern hemisphere breeding seasons.

Adelaide Sales

South Australia has a proud history of racing and breeding, many outstanding horses have been bred and trained here. Adelaide has traditionally been regarded as the value sale in Australasia and the four individual Group One winners in four different States last season confirms that view. One of the many champions to come out of the Adelaide Sales, Gold Guru, was crowned Champion 3YO, and amassed over $2.4 million by the end of his three year old season.

The Adelaide Magic Millions Sales has shown remarkable growth each year, with the 2001 Sale achieving the status of the third strongest in Australia. This year, 129 different stallions from around the globe provided a good selection of horses, with a good mixture of the proven and the young and exciting represented. The feature Sale, held annually in February, boasts a quality catalogue of some 400 lots, and all stock on offer are eligible for the $2.7 million Magic Millions Race Series. A number of functions are held to coincide with the Sale including a day featuring South Australia's richest race, the Adelaide Magic Millions $400,000 2YO Classic.

Perth Sales

Magic Millions Perth feature sale, the Select Yearling Sale, is conducted over three evening sessions at Belmont Park Racecourse in February. The weeknight selling concept provides leading international and interstate yearling buyers time to travel to Perth on the Sunday evening after the weekend's racing, arriving in ample time for the first selling session. More than 600 lots go under the hammer at this Sale which draws a tremendous response locally and overseas. Horses sold in WA have achieved outstanding success on the MRA circuit. As well, WA thoroughbreds are renowned for their soundness and represent excellent value for money.
