DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Board and management of Magic Millions\, we welcome you to the 2015 Jeep Magic Millions Carnival\, Sales and Raceday. \nYou are invited to engage in our flagship event that has become renowned for showcasing world-class thoroughbreds and a world-class entertainment experience\, both on and off the track. \nIt’s about the sales\, it’s about the races and it’s about summer on Queensland’s stunning Gold Coast. \nThe 2015 edition of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale marks the 30th anniversary of the sale that has made an indelible impact on the breeding and racing industry in Australia. That very first sale in 1986 saw the auction of a bay colt by Lunchtime for $22\,000. The following year that colt would become the inaugural Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner and later a breed shaping stallion and broodmare sire – known as Snippets. This is just one example of how in a relatively short time\, Magic Millions has created its own history with results that count. \nRecent racetrack results have seen Magic Millions as the leading source of stakes winners in Australia\, with 177 successes at black type level in the last racing season including 21 Group One victories. The Gold Coast Yearling Sale is continuing its reputation as the sale to source a future stallion. Last season it was Zoustar and Sizzling\, this year it’s Dissident\, Shooting To Win and Rubick\, who are set to join the lengthy honour roll of Magic Millions graduates in the breeding barn. \nIn our 30th year of selling\, we are honoured to present to you with what we believe is unquestionably the finest collection of yearlings ever catalogued in a Gold Coast Yearling Sale based on both pedigree and type. For this we have to sincerely thank our breeders for their loyal support in working alongside us to achieve significant growth that saw the 2014 sale set the tone for the yearling sale season with an outstanding clearance rate of 87% and increases in gross of 10.9% (Book 1) and 28.2% (Book 2). \nWe can’t wait for you to join us on the Gold Coast in January 2015 to share in our passion for everything that is thoroughbred.
