DESCRIPTION:From 21-28 May 2017\, the Gold Coast will host 1\,500 of the world’s best badminton players from 32 countries televised to a global audience of more than 500 million. \nThe Gold Coast will be the first city outside Europe and Asia to host the Cup\, which will be a massive drawcard for thousands of visitors from our major international markets and will deliver a $10 million economic boost to our city. \nThe Sudirman Cup will be held at the Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre\, which will be the venue for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and is an important test event before we welcome the world in 2018.
