Breeder Incentive Schemes

Many horses sold at Magic Millions are eligible for a state breeder and owner bonus scheme, the Magic Millions Race Series, or both. It’s one of the big benefits of buying to race in Australia: these schemes pay bonuses on top of prizemoney.

Look for the scheme logos on a lot’s catalogue page and in the online catalogue. The tables below explain what each logo means and what you need to do after you buy. The catalogue also has a Schemes Index, and you can search the online catalogue by scheme.

After you buy: some schemes need the new owner to nominate the horse or pay a fee by a deadline. Check the logos on your purchase and contact the scheme administrator straight after the sale.
