The program of races for the next racing season (22/23) will be published in May, including the expansion from January 2023 with the exciting addition of two new feature races – $1m Magic Millions The Syndicate (3YOs & up, 1200m, for horses owned by a minimum of 20 individual registered owners and/or syndicate members) and the $500,000 Magic Millions The Debut (2YOs, 900m, for first-starters). Please note: an early first entries deadline will apply for the two $2 million feature races.

FREE first entries for the 2022 $2m MM 2YO Classic & $2m MM 3YO Guineas close on Tuesday 5 October 2021 (12pm AEST).  Trainers must enter named and unnamed horses with the Racing Australia Service Centre.  First acceptances (& late entries) for the 2YO Classic & 3YO Guineas close on Friday 3 December 2021 (12pm AEST).

Our Gold Coast Raceday became Australia’s first $10 million raceday in 2016, offering huge prizemoney on a nine race program with a staggering seven races worth $1 million or more. Now worth $10.25 million in prizemoney, distribution is paid from first to last position on all races. It is the feature racemeeting of the Queensland Summer Racing Carnival and includes $750,000 in Racing Women’s Bonuses.

Please note Stewards will require all horses accepted for the 2YO Classic or 3YO Guineas to be stabled within a 200km radius of the Gold Coast racetrack by 12 noon on the day prior to the race. There are acceptance fees on all races which are netted off prizemoney payments to the owner/s (applicable to final acceptors only). Prizemoney is paid down to last position in all races (which is sufficient to cover the acceptance fee). The cost of late entries is $1,100 (inc GST) per late entry, invoiced to trainers by Racing Queensland.

Barrier Draws for the 2YO Classic & 3YO Guineas will take place on Surfers Paradise Foreshore from 8am on Tuesday 11 January 2022 with details to be confirmed subject to COVID Safe approvals.

The $250,000 Magic Millions Country Cup is now a feature of The Wave Raceday on Saturday 8 January 2022 at the Gold Coast Turf Club, along with two other $250,000 Magic Millions exclusive races (Class 4 Plates for F&M, and C,G&E) plus a $200,000 Magic Millions Bonus on The Wave (3YO & 4YO WFA, 1800m), should the winner be Magic Millions Race Series nominated. Magic Millions Country Cup special conditions: Please contact Racing Queensland handicappers for the full conditions for this race. Summary extract: No horse will be eligible if it has won a race at a Metropolitan status racemeeting in the period 1 January 2020 until Acceptance deadline, which the prizemoney for the winner was greater than $31,000. Further, the horse must have started in at least five races which were conducted at either Provincial or Country (including Non-TAB) level in the period 1 January 2021 until midnight 28 December 2021.
