Australasia’s strongest domestic and international buying bench and the country’s best commission rates will present owners, breeders and vendors with a spectacular opportunity on the Gold Coast this May and June.

Entries are now open for the Southern Hemisphere’s proven number one thoroughbred breeding stock auction, the Magic Millions National Sale.

“We are delighted to again present vendors with an opportunity to nominate for one of the world’s great auctions,” Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said.

“Our industry leading commission rates from 2016 are back in 2017 and the format of the sale around the Brisbane Winter Carnival is proven to perform across all markets.”

“Magic Millions has worked hard in establishing the National Sale as a world leader and we look forward to linking with all breeders, vendors and owners in presenting their stock to a global audience,” Cox added.

National Weanling Sale – May 25 – 26

The National Weanling Sale is the Southern Hemisphere’s favoured shopping ground for trainers, owners and pin-hookers alike. Last year five vendors averaged over $100,000. The sale boasted 152 individual buyers, an international spend over three times more than any other comparative auction, and 61 lots selling for $100,000 or more equating to an 86% share of the market.

National Broodmare Sale – May 30 to June 2

The sale that gets the best fillies and mares, the top buyers and the greatest results saw five individual vendors sell a lot for $1 million or more last year. In 2016 international buyers at Australia’s two main sales spent $33.7 million on fillies and mares – over $29 million of this was on the Gold Coast. In 2016 the Book 1 average price was $133,600 – more than double any other sale.

National Yearling Sale – June 6 – 7

The National Yearling Sale was one of the real highlights of the 2016 sales calendar with prices soaring courtesy of the best ever domestic and international buying bench. The Book 1 average price soared 46% to a new record of over $48,000 and the clearance rate rounded out at 87 per cent – a great result for the first year of a selected sale. No less than 56 vendors had a perfect 100% clearance and 53 lots sold for $80,000 or more.

National Racehorse Sale – June 8

A great option for vendors to offer quality unproven and proven racing stock. Last year’s sale saw a top price of $150,000 for an unraced two-year-old. Lightly raced and well performed racehorses are always popular with a large and diverse buying bench.
