Each year the Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic is one of the highlight races in the lead up to the annual Adelaide Yearling Sale. Carrying prizemoney of $200,000, the Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic is the richest juvenile race in South Australia.
Past winners of the esteemed race include 2021 victor and subsequent stakes winner Scorched Earth, plus the likes of star horses of the turf in Toorak Toff, Augusta Proud, Oratorio, and Ferocity. The 2022 edition of the SA 2YO Classic was won by the Tony & Calvin McEvoy trained Twin Stars and the 2023 renewal was won impressively by the Ben & JD Hayes trained Tacito.
The SA 2YO Classic is joined by a second Magic Millions feature race – the $120,000 Magic Millions SA 3YO & 4YO Classic. The inaugural SA 3YO & 4YO Classic run in 2022 was won by Zoist, whilst Stupendo took out the race in 2023 for Danny O’Brien and his all-female ownership group.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the Magic Millions SA 3YO & 4YO Classic is run over 1200m at Weight-for-Age.

– 4YO Horses/Geldings now carry 58.5 kgs
– 4YO Mares now carry 56.5 kgs
– 3YO Colts/Geldings now carry 56.0 kgs
– 3YO Fillies now carry 54.0 Kgs
With $320,000 in Magic Millions Race Series prizemoney on offer, both races are the headline act of the stand-alone Saturday racemeeting at Murray Bridge, forming part of our exciting initiative with Racing SA to support the South Australian breeding and racing industry.
The SA raceday is conducted at Murray Bridge on one of best and newest racetracks in Australia, located at Gifford Hill.
