Testa Jesta’s Sister A Perth Sale Gem

Peter Moody completed a successful hit run mission to Adelaide with Testa Rossa’s classy son Testa Jesta winning at Morphettville on Saturday.

With Group One winning jockey Clare Lindop in the saddle, Testa Jesta settled towards the tail of the field before being produced down the outside to score a very solid win.

Moody knows the breed and track, scoring with another son of Testa Rossa, Testafiable, in the Group One South Australian Derby in 2006.

A son of the winning Lake Coniston mare Strega, Testa Jesta is a graduate of the 2006 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale where Moody secured the strapping colt for $150,000.

Having earned in excess of $110,000 to date, he has proven to be a very good charge for the stable.

The family has consistently produced stakes winners all over Australia with his grand dam, Rancher Miss winning the listed Eye Liner Stakes at Ipswich.

Testa Jesta has a full sister to be sold at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale later this month.

Consigned by Avoca Park, who were the leading vendor on averages at the 2009 Perth Sale, there will much interest in the filly given her ever improving pedigree.

Avoca Park will present a number of quality yearlings by both local, interstate and overseas stallions at the upcoming Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, beginning on January 27.

In the draft are progeny of popular Eastern state’s sires Charge Forward, Elvstroem, Snitzel and Beautiful Crown and locals Flying Pegasus, Hurricane Sky and Magic Of Sydney with the addition of a northern hemisphere conceived son of Singspiel.
