Astute buyers looking for quality and value are in for a treat on Sunday with Belmont hosting the Magic Millions Perth Autumn Thoroughbred Sale.
A catalogue of 157 lots ranging in age from weanlings to broodmares will go under the hammer from 11am (WA time).
As usual a quality draft of racehorses is being presented by Peters Investments – a draft of 17 this time around.
Among them are stakes placed city winner Knightlike, city winners Lunar Image, Monumental and Southern Princess and a selection of others are either winners or city placegetters this season.
The Steve Wolfe Racing Stables from Albany are also having a reduction sale with the draft including city winners Blomkvist and Jobeth.
Two leading studs with big drafts include Taunton Vale (11 lots, 10 by accomplished sire Bearcat) and Touchstone Farm (19 lots including the first two foals by Planet Five).
Among the broodmare section later in the day will be mares presented after spring services to sires including Balmont, Blackfriars, Discorsi, Flying Pegasus, Husson Lightning, Natural Blitz, Oratorio, Planet Five, Saxon, Scandal Keeper, Statue of Liberty, Trade Fair and Vital Equine.
There are many city winners as well as stakes performers and stakes producers in the broodmare section and the last lot in the ring will be the regally related stallion Patronize.
A Redoute’s Choice three quarter brother to Exceed and Excel, Patronize won twice before heading to stud and his early progeny to hit the track include good city winners Jestpatim and Closing Time.
From just 14 runners to date Patronize has five individual winners and seven other placegetters. Both his runners this season at two are city placed already.
