| Group Three winner Melody Again and Flemington Listed winner Basilinna add more quality to what is a world class catalogue. Melody Again (Lot 568), a winner of six races to 1400 metres and earner of almost $600,000 will be offered as part of the Newgate Consignment. The elite racing and breeding prospect won the Group Three Dark Jewel Classic at Scone last year and has also placed in a Group Three Festival Stakes and Group Three Newcastle Stakes. Amongst her finest runs was in April when she was beaten less than a length when fourth to Lazzura in the Group One Coolmore Classic beating the likes of Manaal, Savvy Hallie, Ole Dancer and You Wahng. Meanwhile, tough and talented mare Basilinna (Lot 569) has joined the Attunga Stud draft for her time under the hammer on Tuesday. A daughter of Deep Impact’s Group winning son Staphanos, Basilinna is a three time winner and won last year’s Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes at Flemington in emphatic style. Earlier in her career she proved to be one of the better three-year-olds of her generation with a second in the Group Two AV Kewney Stakes and third in the Group One VRC Oaks and Group Three Ethereal Stakes. In feature races she beat home the likes of Group One or Group Two winners Tropical Squall, Coco Sun, Apulia, Just Fine, Sassy Boom, Smokin’ Romans, Philia and Military Mission.
