Group One Mare Highlights Latest MM Digital Sale – Bidding Open

Group One Mare Highlights Latest MM Digital Sale – Bidding Open

One of Western Australia’s most talented and toughest racemares will offer a rare opportunity at the Magic Millions Digital (17-22 April) Sale which is now open for bidding.
Group winner and Group One placegetter Admiration Express (Lot 54) will be offered by Jason Miller Racing following her retirement after an illustrious racetrack career.

The good looking grey mare was a triple stakes winner, headlined by victories in the Group Three Champion Fillies Stakes and the Group Three Strickland Stakes.

But her greatest run may have come in defeat – charging home from the back of the field to finish just over half a length from recent Australian Cup winner Light Infantry Man in the Group One Northerly Stakes. In that run she was in ninth place at the 400 metre mark – her late burst producing impressive sectionals.

Admiration Express is one of seven winners from seven to race for her dam Comme Ci. She has produced two other stakes horses Fred Dag and Janaura, boosting the pedigree.

The remainder of the catalogue also features entries from Arrowfield Training Centre, Attunga Stud, Baramul Stud, Eureka Stud, Fernie Racing, Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Group One Thoroughbreds, Jack Bruce Racing, Newhaven Park, Portelli Racing, Segenhoe Stud, Silverdale Farm, Steve Wolfe Racing, Stokes Racing and Yarraman Park.

Yarraman Park offer four mares unreserved – all are either stakes performers in their own right or have produced stakes horses – headlined by Set to Unleash (Lot 49), the dam of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Houtzen.

Silverdale Farm’s seven entries, all unreserved, include a yearling colt by Stay Inside as well as seven broodmares with positive tests to sires such as Stay Inside, Wild Ruler, Cosmic Force and Rebel Dane. Another exciting broodmare is Kamea (Lot 38) who is a half sister to Caballus, one of the favourites for tomorrow’s $5 million The Quokka, and was covered by Tassort last season.

Arrowfield Training Centre has catalogued Zucchero (Lot 12) who has recently consistently raced in Highway company in Sydney, is the winner of three races from 13 starts and is offered unreserved.

Other exciting racing prospects include stakes performed three-year-old filly Fierce ‘N Fabulous (Lot 25), multiple city winner Hostile Talk (Lot 1), stakes placed Let’sdeal (Lot 3), last start winners Inca Trail (Lot 2) and Bifurcation (Lot 22) as well as maiden mare Stormy Malice (Lot 18) who more importantly is a half sister to recent Group One Vinery Stakes placegetter Salty Pearl.

Seven yearlings also feature in the catalogue – by sires including Stay Inside, Spirit of Boom, Shamus Award and Cool Aza Beel. Attunga Stud offer a Hellbent weanling (Lot 30) who is the first foal of a half sister to Group One placed Eckstein while Taormina Lodge has three broodmares with foals-at-foot, including Love Over Gold (Lot 41) who has a Starspangledbanner Colt at foot.
