Deserved Stakes Win For Outlandish Lad

Outlandish LadQuality South Australian sprinter Outlandish Lad scored a breakthrough stakes success at Moonee Valley last night when he scored a rails hugging win in the listed Trojan Hand Tools Night Handicap (1200m).

Expertly ridden by proven big race rider Damien Oliver, Outlandish Lad finished too well for the bookies favourite Shock Value in a quinella results for Magic Millions graduates.

A bright grey son of Fantastic Light, Outlandish Lad was sent out a $7.50 pop following an impressive previous start win at Morphettville in his native state of South Australia.

“He’s a good honest and tough horse who is always thereabouts,” winning trainer Dennis O’Leary said.

“And gee it was a great ground saving ride from Damien – just perfect – it al turned out well.”

Outlandish Lad
Outlandish Lad has spent time and won for other trainers and is now enjoying his new environment at Normanville.
