A filly by red hot Queensland sire Hidden Dragon was the standout performer during today’s second session of Gold Coast breeze ups in preparation for next month’s Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale.

The chestnut filly consigned by Hilton Thoroughbreds stopped the clock in 10.11 seconds – the fastest time ever at the Gold Coast based breeze ups.

The previous quickest time at a session was the 10.15 seconds set by Macau star Viva Pronto when he was offered at the 2007 auction.

Dozens more ready made racetrack prospects broke the 11 seconds – bringing to a total 105 for the two sessions – almost 50 more than for the same sale last year.

And there are still over 100 more horses to breeze up with the two sessions at Seymour and Rockhampton later in the week.

Also running slick times during today’s breeze ups were two-year-olds by Exceed and Excel (10.29), More Than Ready (10.35), Nadeem (10.36) and Grandera (10.4).

The team from Magic Millions was thrilled with the professionalism and preparation from vendors – presenting the best ever line up of prospects.

Further breeze up sessions will be held at Seymour and Rockhampton on Thursday and Friday respectively. Both sessions commence at 10am.

The two day National Horses in Training Sale will be held at the Gold Coast on October 27 and 28.
