Jestatune Tops Oakland Stud Dispersal

Stakes winning mare Jestatune topped the Oakland Park Stud Broodmare Dispersal during the first session of the Magic Millions Perth Autumn Thoroughbred Sale on Saturday night.

Magic Millions, acting as agent for a Western Australian client, purchased the top breeding prospect for $190,000.

She was one of seven of 30 lots sold to sell for a price of $100,000 or more.

Damon Gabbedy’s Belmont Bloodstock Agency was an active buyer at tonight’s sale and snapped up the second and third highest sellers – Most Secret for $170,000 and Paradise Park for $160,000.

Boasting a clearance rate of 97 per cent, the Oakland Park Stud Dispersal grossed over $1.67 million at an average price of $55,733.

“Rarely do buyers get such an opportunity to compete for an outstanding line up of breeding prospects,” Magic Millions Acting Managing Director David Chester reported.

“The line up included top young stakes performed mares as well as proven stakes producers.”

The second session of the sale will be held at the Belmont Park Sales Complex from 11am (WA time) on Sunday.
