Jezabeel Filly An Early Perth Sale Star

A Street Sense filly from former outstanding staying racemare Jezabeel has taken the early running at the 2011 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale at Belmont.

Leading bloodstock agent Justin Bahen purchased the filly for $200,000 and revealed she will join the stable of one of the country’s top trainers.

“She’s off to Mark Kavanagh,” Bahen revealed after the purchase of the filly – the fourth lot of the auction.

“I thought she was the filly of the sale – a lovely individual who looks a great prospect as a three-year-old,” Bahen added.

The filly is the latest yearling produced by the Melbourne and Auckland Cup winner Jezabeel – a Zabeel mare and winner of over $2 million.

“I have seen most of the yearlings from Jezabeel and this filly is the pick of them in my book,” Bahen said.

The filly is a daughter of the Street Sense – a three time Group One winning daughter of Street Cry – the sire of Kavanagh’s Melbourne Cup winner Shocking and his middle distance star Whobegotyou.

The BOBS and Westspeed eligible youngster was offered for sale by Serpentine based Distinct Racing and Breeding.

The first session of the 2011 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale continues.
