Juveniles Impress at Seymour Breeze Ups

A colt by former Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Testa Rossa clocked the fastest time during a successful session of breezes up at the Seymour Racing Club today.
The colt, a handsome chestnut, ran his timed breeze up in 9.77 seconds, the quickest in the lead up to next month’s Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale.

Catalogued as Lot 118, the Testa Rossa colt is from the Sherwood Lodge draft and is the third foal of the winning Secret Savings mare Bella Vedera – a half sister to Group Two winner Twilight Royale.

A first time vendor at the Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale, Sherwood Lodge is the pre-training property for Rosemont Stud under the preparation of horseman Mark Young.

The Seymour Racing Club synthetic track was in perfect shape after a week of good rainfall, presenting vendors, horses and riders with the best ever surface for the Victorian breeze ups.

“We really thank Penny and her team at the club – in particular the ground staff who worked extremely hard in providing ideal conditions,” Magic Millions Victorian Manager Tim Brown said.

“The breeze ups were the best ever held in Victoria with quick times and I must congratulate the vendors on the standard of two-year-old presented, this is by far best quality line up to breeze at Seymour,” Brown aded.

The next breeze up session will be held at the Gold Coast Turf Club on Monday with Warwick Farm in Sydney hosting another session on Tuesday.
