Gerald Ryan, Dale Sutton, Stathi Katsidis and Clare Lindop are in the box seat to win the inaugural Magic Millions Premierships with two weeks of the season remaining.

Ryan, who won the final Group One race of the season with Gold Coast graduate Melito, is four wins clear in the Leading Training division with 52 wins.

David Hayes, Mark Kavanagh and Gai Waterhouse all have a chance of hauling in Ryan – all locked together on 48 wins.

Dale Sutton, sixth on the overall wins table, heads the race to be the Leading Trainer by non-metro wins.

His haul of 38 is six more than Toowoomba’s Mark Webb and eight more than Tasmanian father-son team David & Scott Brunton.

Magic Millions 2YO Classic winning jockey Stathi Katsidis leads two of the three Leading Jockey Premierships.

Katsidis has skipped 11 wins clear of his Brisbane rival Jim Byrne -78 to 67 for the category for all wins across Australia.

In the most non-metro win division Katsidis is just one win ahead of top Gold Coast senior rider Daniel Griffin.

Another Magic Millions 2YO Classic winning jockey heads the Leading Female Rider Premiership.

Clare Lindop, with 28 wins, is three clear of fellow Adelaide rider Libby Hopwood (25).

Perth’s Kyra Yuill continues her late season charge and is now just four wins behind Lindop.

The winners of each premiership will win a cash or voucher prize to the value of $2,000 and a special Magic Millions merchandise pack.

The 2009/10 racing season concludes on July 31 and the premiership winners will be announced soon after.
