Mm Juveniles Win 172 Races In 72 Days

The incredible winning streak of Magic Millions graduates in juveniles races rolled on today when Shezapro and You Say So impressed with victories at Northam.

Shezapro created a big impression when she overcame a slow start to win the fillies division in the day’s opening race.

After making ground up on the fence during the middle stages, the filly was switched off the leaders heels in the straight and after a battle she won strongly.

The performance from the Econsul filly was impressive – she cruised home to beat Warning Sky by a length.

A $22,500 purchase from the draft of Lindsay Park Stud at last year’s Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, Shezapro is trained by Brendon Fitzgerald.

Peter Knuckey, who rode Shezapro to victory, made it an early double when You Say So won the colts and geldings juvenile event a short time later.

Trained by Stan Bates, You Say So was parked off the speed during the early and middle stages before proving too good in the straight with a strong win.

The youngster’s win was impressive considering his tendency to lay in near the line.

A daughter of Adelaide Yearling Sale graduate Due Sasso, You Say So was purchased from the draft of Geisel Park Stud at last year’s Perth Yearling Sale for $15,000.

Since May 1 this year a staggering 172 juvenile races have been won by Magic Millions graduates – that’s 172 in just 72 days.

As well as in Australia – Magic Millions’ juveniles abroad include Singapore’s best juveniles Mr Big, Dark Matter and Kaiser, Korea’s pin up youngster Jeonseong Sidae, New Zealand’s champion filly Anabandana and South Africa’s two Group One winners Delago Deluxe and Fighting Warrior.

And Hong Kong’s recently crowned champion griffin is Bear Hero – a son of General Nediym bred by Baramul Stud and sold at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
