The quality catalogue for February’s 2015 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale is now online.
Comprising 121 lots, the catalogue has brought together the best Tasmanian bred yearlings as well as a select group from the mainland to go under the hammer at Launceston’s Inveresk Showgrounds on February 12.
Over recent years the sale has established itself as one of the best producing with graduates including stakes winners The Cleaner, Lady Lynette, Triple Asset and Like a Carousel.
Among the lots catalogued are half or three quarter relations to stakes winners Black ‘n’ Tough, Radha Rani, The Cleaner, Triple Asset and Twenty Grand. There are also half or three quarter relations to stakes performers All Rigged Up, Emily’s Girl, Kid Kobe, Pompeius, Portland Damask, Prince Obama, Queen, Regal Flame and Zodiac Queen.
Stakes winning mares with lots catalogued include Angel’s Jewel, Brakim Lass, Galvanized, Genuine Blonde, Private Nip, Rose of Portland, Star Hit and Wavishing, while fellow stakes performers Come on Rory, Mislaid, Pirate Queen, Qui Lady, Silvercitymiss, Why For and With Decorum are also represented.
There is a great selection of progeny by 66 individual sires – the most represented including West Quest (16 lots), Master of Design (8), Tough Speed (7), Bushranger (5) and Statue of Liberty (5). Other sires with yearlings in the catalogue include Anacheeva, Bel Esprit, Beneteau, Casino Prince, Desert King, Domesday, Equiano, Exceed and Excel, Helmet, Hussonet, Keep the Faith, Ladoni, Magnus, Moshe, Myboycharlie, Reward for Effort, Sebring, Stryker, Tickets, Toorak Toff, Uncle Mo, Wanted, Wordsmith and Zoffany and dozens more.
The Tasmanian Yearling Sale is complimented by two graduate races to be run at Launceston on the eve of the sale, Wednesday, February 11. The $50,000 Brooklyn Park Magic Millions 2YO Classic and $50,000 TasBreeders Magic Millions 3YO Classic, both over 1200 metres, are subject to entries closing on February 5 at 12 noon (AEDT).
