Sister Madly A Likely National Sale Star

One of the country’s most valuable race mares will go under the hammer at June’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast.

Sister Madly, a last start group winning Redoute’s Choice half sister to record breaking sprinter Silent Witness, is the latest pin up mare to join what is shaping to be a quality packed catalogue.

A four-year-old mare, Sister Madly hasn’t raced since cruising to victory in the Group Three Southern Cross Stakes at Randwick on February 12.

She is one of three stakes performed and six winners, from six to race, for the grand producing Bureaucracy mare Jade Tiara.

A Melbourne winner and fourth placegetter in the listed Quezette Stakes, Jade Tiara is not only the dam of Sister Madly, but also the champion sprinter Silent Witness.

One of the best horses to have ever raced in Hong Kong, Silent Witness won 18 races during his career including two runnings of the Hong Kong International Sprint.

Sister Madly is just one of a number of quality fillies and mares already entered for the feature breeding stock auction in the South Hemisphere.

Others among the entries include stakes winners Arapaho Miss, Astrodame, Belle Bizarre, Chakvedatze, Creative Plan, Dances on Waves, Deer Valley, Fairy Oak, Hidden Wonder, Hooness, Irongail, Journey, Kryptelon, La Zoffany, Lady Natasha, Le Plunge, Lolita Star, Mythical Play, Princess Pulse, Professional Lady, Ruby Clipper, Russian Caravan, Saint Minerva, Set for Fame, Soap Opera, Tantra and Vintedge.

“Our office has been inundated with quality entries for the National Broodmare Sale and we’re still compiling them as we speak,” Magic Millions Acting Managing Director David Chester said.

“The whole National Sale is promising to be one of the features on the Australian thoroughbred calendar in 2011.”

“The catalogue for the National Broodmare Sale is in the process of being finalised – any vendors or breeders with queries should contact the Bloodstock Department of Magic Millions as a matter of priority,” Chester summed up.
