Youngsters Fly At Gold Coast Breeze Ups

A colt by leading sire Not a Single Doubt starred during a successful breeze up session at the Gold Coast Turf Club today in preparation for the upcoming Magic Millions 2YOs in Training Sale.

The colt, catalogued as Lot 119 and a member of the Kenmore Lodge draft, ran his 200 metre timed sectional in 10 seconds – the quickest of 151 to breeze today.

He is the first foal of the well related and city winning Dehere mare Take Charge – a half sister to stakes winner Mutate.

During today’s breeze up session no fewer than 84 two-year-olds ran sub-11 second breeze ups.

Others to stop the clock with swift times included Washpool Lodge’s Ad Valorem-Dawnie Dancer colt (10.08), Sunset Performance Horses’ Red Arrow-Miss Josephine colt (10.1) and Raheen Stud’s Captain Sonador-Lethal Intent colt (10.15). The quickest filly was Raheen Stud’s Publishing-Petria (Lot 72) who ran 10.34 seconds.

Magic Millions’ New South Wales Bloodstock Consultant Paul Beamish said today’s breeze up session was a great success with credit going to all involved – vendors, staff and jockeys.

“It was one of the best breeze up sessions I have ever seen at the Gold Coast,” Beamish said. “It is great to see the horses breeze up on a firm, all weather surface.”
