What better way to spend your summer than at the Jeep Magic Millions Carnival on the Gold Coast! A celebration unlike any other, Magic Millions Carnival has it all and we hope you can (or invite you to) join us for all the excitement and activity over 10 incredible days.
Kicking off on Friday, 1 January, the Magic Millions Complex will open for inspections from 8am daily to showcase over 1000 premier Australian & New Zealand yearlings before the sale commences on Wednesday, 6 January at 10am. On Sunday, 3 January we welcome everyone to our Sales Complex for a fun afternoon from 12pm where Gold FM broadcasts live from the sales before we heat up the barbie next to the Jewel Beer Garden for a gold coin donation sausage sizzle to raise funds for the Queensland Drought Appeal.
Within minutes of the sales complex is the Surfers Paradise foreshore and Tuesday, 4 January will play host to the barrier draw for the $2 million Jeep Magic Millions 2YO and $2 million Gold Coast 3YO. This event epitomises everything that is unique about Magic Millions with an exhibition gallop up the Surfers Paradise beach, breakfast on the beach, Gold FM live broadcast and Sunrise live weather crosses!
Tuesday night will see guests from all over the world converge at sunset for the Moet & Chandon Launch Party on the Surfers Paradise foreshore, providing the industry an opportunity to officially kick off the week before the sales commence.
The real action begins with the Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Wednesday 6 to Tuesday 12 January. This January the auction commences an hour earlier at 10am daily and our Ringside Dining area will be open from 9am to ensure all registered guests are ready for the start of the first day of sale. In addition to the Magic Millions events, we also bring you our Affiliate Event partners throughout the week. From the Northcliffe SLSC Sportsman’s Luncheon to the Sparkling Ladies Luncheon, there is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to be involved during the week and we recommend you check the calendar for all the details.
The pinnacle event of the calendar is the 2016 Jeep Magic Millions Raceday and this year we celebrate its 30th anniversary with the inaugural running of Australia’s first $10 million raceday at the Gold Coast Turf Club. With nine races, of which a staggering seven races are worth $1 million or more, this is a day not to be missed. This event has truly become international with visitors coming from all over the world for the flagship event.
