| The build up to this month’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast has continued with another impressive group of supplementary entries confirmed today. |
| Ten new stakes winning or placed fillies and mares have joined the quality packed auction which will be held on May 26 and 27. This season’s impeccably related and stakes performed juvenile Free Flying (Lot 555) is an exciting new addition to the Newington Farm Premium Consignment. She joins the same draft as her close relation and fellow recent juvenile stakes performer La Gitana. Free Flying, a daughter of champion sire Snitzel, was second on debut in the Listed Magic Millions Debutant Stakes at Caulfield in October. Two runs later she was a close up fourth in the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes. Ennis Hill, the dam of Free Flying, is a daughter of Group Two Reisling Stakes winner Hips Don’t Lie. She has already produced Australia’s Champion 2YO Filly in 2023-23, Learning to Fly. Hips Don’t Lie has produced five stakes performers at stud including this season’s untapped juvenile La Gitana (Lot 406). Placed at his only two runs to date in stakes grade, the Home Affairs filly will contest Saturday’s Listed Woodlands Stakes at Scone. The other new stakes performers joining the catalogue include: * Kitty Flash (Lot 543) – a three time winner by Ace High. She is four times Group placed and already earned over NZ$224,000. She is a half sister to this season’s Group winning juvenile Satono Glow. * Phenom (Lot 546) – a three time winning, $159,000 earner who is Group placed in Melbourne and Adelaide. The Zoustar mare is a half sister to stakes performer Solar Winds. * Canara (Lot 550) – an I Am Invincible mare from the Group winner Karavali. She was placed in a Listed Bill Carter Stakes and was a winner last Wednesday at Eagle Farm for trainer Chris Waller. * Cavity Bay (Lot 511) a $355,000 earner who was second in the Group Two Moonee Valley Fillies Classic, third in the Group Three South Australia Fillies Classic and fourth in the Group One Australasian Oaks. * Cosmic Ride (Lot 552) – a two time winner and placegetter in the Listed Without Fear Stakes at two by Shamus Award. She is a half sister to Listed Laelia Stakes winner Cosmic Alert. * Crickets Chirping (Lot 553) – a winner in New Zealand and Australia at 1000 and 1100 metres. She was third in a Listed Wanganui Guineas and fourth in a Listed Ryder Stakes. Another new entry is a three time winning Zoustar half sister to Saturday’s Doomben 10,000 aspirant and leading Winter Carnival contender Napoleonic. The broodmare section welcomes six new lots, including one for the international virtual section. Two are covered by champion Yarraman Park sire I Am Invincible. Among the new broodmares are the imported stakes winner Always inthe Munny, Melbourne stakes winner Oz Empress, the dam of Group Three winner Krakarib and the New Zealand based stakes winner Not Guilty. Always inthe Munny (Lot 819) was a stakes winner of the Lone Star Bara Lass Stakes and she’s made a bright start to her breeding career with her first foal Written in Munny fourth in the Group Three Canonbury Stakes this season at two. Joining the Newgate Consignment, Always inthe Munny is due to produce an August foal by I Am Invincible this spring. Oz Empress (Lot 817), a grandaughter of former New Zealand champion Princess Coup, won the Listed Jim Moloney Stakes at Caulfield and she heads to the sale in foal to Ole Kirk in her second season at stud. The international virtual session on Day One of the sale will now feature the quality Not a Single Doubt mare Not Guilty (Lot 574). A winner of the Listed Pegasus Stakes and stakes placed a further three times, Not Guilty was covered last spring by young sire sensation Super Seth in her second season.
