Fleming Son Tops Perth Sale

Value selling continued at the Belmont Park Sales Complex today when the second session of the Magic Millions Perth Winter Thoroughbred Sale was held.

Three lots today sold for more than Friday’s top selling weanling of $21,000.

Fleming Son, a proven city winner, topped proceedings when he was sold to Anthony Cipriano for $31,000.

Local racing admistrator and large scale owner Lex Piper made his presence felt when he paid $30,000 for a yearling filly by Balmont.

Leading local agent John Chalmers paid the third top price of the day – $26,000 for the Peters Investments Pty Ltd offering Talent Show.

All up over the two sessions over $418,000 was traded on 167 lots sold boasting an average price of over $2,500.

The clearance rate rounded out at 78 per cent.

The next major sale for Magic Millions is October’s National Horses in Training Sale.

Breeze up sessions will be held at the Gold Coast and Seymour in Victoria in September prior to the sale on October 19 and 20.

The sale is the best breeze-up style in Australia and in recent seasons has produced outstanding results throughout Australia and overseas.

Recent graduates include stakes winning stars Shocking, Graceful Anna, Gingerbread Man, Fontelina and Gundy Son.

Entries are closing soon and all enquiries should be directed to the Bloodstock Department of Magic Millions in the coming days.
