Mare Buyers Set For Rich Rewards

Buyers will be in for a treat at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale with an outstanding line up of mares across all budgets to go under the hammer from Monday.

While a select line up of mares are tipped to sell for many hundreds of thousands, perhaps even into the seven figure bracket, there will be hundreds more selling for value prices.

Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said the upcoming sale was perfectly timed for buyers to capitalise.

“People often ask me where there’s an opportunity in the market – and right now there is an opportunity with young mares in foal.”

“The industry is looking strong with prizemoney set to increase in the coming seasons and to me there’s never been a better time to be investing in mares.”

“We have some great prospects going through the ring – a large percentage of the lots are in foal to leading sires and a number in foal to young sires who always sell well as weanlings or yearlings.”

“Fast forward to when the resultant foals are to go under the hammer and I really think they rewards will be there for buyers,” Cox added.

Cox believed it was the “youngest” catalogue of mares and breeding prospects to be offered at the sale – renowned as the leading breeding stock auction in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 2012 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale commences at 10am on Monday. To view the online catalogue and for more information visit www.magicmillions.com.au.
