BARRIER DRAW – Tuesday, 2 February, 2016
Magic Millions and Racing and Wagering WA (RAWWA) bring you a new format Barrier Draw and Owners Expo on Tuesday, 2 February from 5-7pm at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The evening invites new and existing owners to come down for an enjoyable and lighted hearted evening in The Summer Garden at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre for the inaugural Ownership Expo followed by the Magic Millions WA 2YO & 3YO Barrier Draw.
This is an opportunity to explore the world of racing and get your questions answered by top trainers and breeders in WA. Find out how you can be part of this exciting industry before sharing in the anticipation of the Barrier Draw for the feature races at Pinjarra Park for Magic Millions WA Ladies Raceday on Sunday, 7 February.
There will be giveaways, food and refreshments available. Don’t miss it!
RACEDAY – Sunday, 7 February, 2016
This year Magic Millions will host its inaugural partnership raceday with Pinjarra Park on Sunday, 7 February. The Magic Millions Ladies WA Raceday will showcase the rich prizemoney on offer for graduates of Magic Millions yearling sales in WA.
With a prize pool of $400,000 exclusively for Magic Millions Race Series graduates across two races this is an opportunity not to be missed. Both the Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic and the Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy have been recognised with Restricted Listed black type due to the high quality fields and winners to have contested past runnings of these races, which includes the likes of Lucky Street, Night War, Playing God and Camporella in recent years.
Prizemoney for the Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy has increased to $150,000 in 2016, adding this to the total prize pool for the day and making it one of Australia’s richest provincial racedays with over $550,000 on offer!
The raceday would not be complete without a full day of off the track activities including:
- Free entry for Ladies and a voucher for a complimentary ‘Thorny Devil’ beverage (Ladies over 18) or soft drink
- Ladies Fashions in the Field Competition – Registrations commence from 11.30am

Gates open at approximately 10.30am with all hospitality outlets opening from 11.30am and the first race will run at 12.30pm.

This exclusive event is the official opening for the 2016 Magic Millions WA Carnival for buyers, sellers, racing identities and thoroughbred industry associates.
Guests will gather in the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club and celebrate the beginning of Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sales.

Comprising 349 quality lots, this year’s catalogue also claims a diverse offering for buyers with 84 different sires represented including new season sires Frost Giant & Gingerbread Man. Group One winning graduates of this sale include Magnifisio, Luckygray, Moment of Change and Eagle Regiment, while other recent graduates include carnival stars Man Booker, Let it Slip and Spangled Impact and unbeaten speedster Hot Goods, not to forget the state’s champion juvenile – Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic and Karrakatta Plate winner Lucky Street.
