Dysphonia’s Half Brother In Adelaide Sale

A half brother to today’s impressive Sydney stakes winner Dysphonia will go under the hammer at February’s Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale.

A member of the powerful Peter Snowden stable, Dysphonia led throughout in a dominant performance to beat a crack field and notch her first stakes success.

The four-year-old mare, who ran third at her previous outing at Rosehill, found plenty in the straight under leading apprentice Tommy Berry to beat Stratofortress and Southern Skye.

The Festival Stakes victory was the sixth career victory for the daughter of Lonhro – pushing her prizemoney past $228,000.

Dysphonia is one of two winners produced by the Night Shift mare Stutter – a five time winner – four in city tracks in Melbourne or Sydney.

Stutter is a half sister to Lament – the group performed dam of multiple stakes winner Jeremiad.

Dysphonia’s latest yearling, a colt by Reset, will go under the hammer at the 2011 Adelaide Yearling Sale.

The colt is being prepared by Balnarring based Everton Thoroughbreds, as agent, as is catalogued as lot 113.

“He’s a colt with good size and strength,” Magic Millions’ Tim Brown said. “She’s a nice youngster – a real improving colt.”

Meanwhile, a full sister to today’s impressive Adelaide juvenile winner Flor Do Mar is also being prepared for the famous Morphettville auction.

A member of the David Hayes stable, Flor Do Mar is a daughter of Dash for Cash who was debuting this afternoon.

In the hands of Simon Price, Flor Do Mar cruised home in her Morphettville Parks event to win by a length and three quarters.

Flor Do Mar is the fifth individual winner for her top producing dam, the Rory’s Jester mare Storm Tossed.

Storm Tossed’s latest yearling, a grey filly by Dash for Cash, is a full sister to Flor Do Mar and she is heading to the 2011 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale.

The filly, catalogued as lot 111, is a member of the Lindsay Park Stud (As Agent) draft.

“She’s a really nice moving filly,” Tim Brown said. “A real athlete.”
